Intuition And Organization Equal Great Staffing

There is a debate among my fellow recruiters about what is more valuable in staffing – intuition, or organization? I say that intuition important but nothing ever gets done well without organization. I learned this the hard way. When I began my job, I kept paper files of applications and other documentation. Not only did things get misfiled, but some paperwork wasn’t filed at all. Finding anything I needed was a nightmare. When I installed applicant tracking software, the difference was stunning. I can find anything I need to know about applicants or employees, in a few keystrokes. Employee turnover is down, the boss is happy, and I am efficient. Intuition alone can’t do all that.
