To start off with, stretch marks are an occurrence that tends to affect both men and women alike. There are lotions that are specially created to get rid of the stretch marks on the body; these lotions function by moisturizing the skin thereby helping the skin maintain its suppleness when it is stretched during pregnancy. When stretch marks occur as a result of rapid weight gain, what happens is that the tissue beneath the skin buckles under the weight of excess weight and is stretched beyond its limit; thus, it breaks, resulting in microscopic bleeding and swelling that cause stretch marks. Many people who are inflicted with stretch marks select laser treatment as a way to get rid of their stretch marks… this treatment involves the focused emission of a ray of right which passes through the outer layer of the skin to the middle layer to stimulate the growth of new skin tissue.
